Hello to all of my planners and type A personalities! Jared here. Wow, it's really almost the big event huh? Who knew 996 days would fly so quickly? Anyway, I know why you're here, you're like me! You're leaving in a day or two and you want to know all of the specific event details so that you can plan and prepare for the weekend.

Fear not! I would want a page like this, so here is all of the important information and timelines in one convenient location for all your planning needs. So, let's get underway:

Friday 4/24: Welcome Drinks

Vibes We want to kick off the weekend and thank you all for coming with some complementary welcome drinks at Ten Eyck! We know the wedding day is going to fly by, so we're looking forward to having a relaxed night, hanging out and catching up with some good drinks and light fare. The weather's been wild man, but if it's nice, there will be outdoor lights, a firepit, and lawn games. If not, inside is cozy and the brewery space will be opened to us. Food Small bites will be available including:Chips &amp; Spinach Dip, Cheesesteak Egg Rolls, Pretzel Nuggets, Chicken Skewers Drink I chose Ten Eyck because they are an Untapped Community Award winning brewery with some seriously tasty brews! With 30 beer taps, wine, a full bar, and plenty of non-alcoholic offerings, everybody should be able to find something they love! ParkingParking is a bit limited and we recommend carpooling where possible. Here are the specific details from Ten Eyck's own site: We have parking directly in front of the brewery! If all spots are taken, the cat hospital parking spots are available after 5 pm. PLEASE do not park on our grass or theirs. Parking is also available across the street at the 7-11/BP Gas Station (please be respectful of their customers). Be mindful of heavy truck traffic if you choose to park on Grange Hall Rd. Do not park at Dick's next door, your vehicle will be towed.

Saturday 4/25: The Ceremony

Transportation Complimentary shuttle transport is available from your resort... I mean hotel block. Pickup Schedule is as follows: • Hyatt Place Kent Narrows: 3:30 PM• Holiday Inn Express: 3:35 PM• Quality Inn: 3:40 PM• Venue drop off at 4:05 PM There is parking available at the venue, alongside the marina by the river. We have also set aside VIP spaces in front of the venue for the following guests:• Len Schreiber &amp; Marion May• Gene Stahl• Barba &amp; Fred Marx• Betty Minnich &amp; Barb Roman Location &amp; Seating Guests will enter through the white pavilion on the right hand side of the venue. A table will be set up on the right for cards &amp; gifts, as well as our seating chart for dinner. This is also where you will find our After the Tone audio guest book, where you can leave us a voicemail which will be turned into a record later. Ideally, if the weather cooperates, guests will then continue out the door on the right hand side, and may take any non reserved seat on the grass in front of the water. In the event of rain, guests may take their seat, inside of the white pavilion through which they've entered.

The Proposal

In the summer of 2021, Leah, Jared, and Nessa spent a month living in Lewes, Delaware, performing a two-person production of Hansel and Gretel with the Rehoboth Summer Children’s Theatre. Their mission? To teach kids across the state about the importance of a well-balanced diet — all through the magic of a fairytale. With no real responsibilities outside of bringing joy (and vegetables) to the local libraries of Delaware, Leah and Jared made the most of their month by creating a 30-day bucket list. They played mini golf, took the ferry to Cape May, discovered new coffee shops, rode bikes to get ice cream, watched both the sunrise and sunset on the beach along with other various beach activities. One day, while driving to one of their two-show days, Leah spotted a field of sunflowers. She immediately wanted to stop and take pictures. Jared, ever the responsible one, promised, “We’ll stop on the way home.” But by the time they finished their shows, the weather had turned, and the stop never happened. Two years later — They are performing in a production of The Sound of Music together. Jared had planned a week-long vacation for the two of them. None of this was unusual; They have now performed in over 5 productions together and Jared often takes the lead on planning. But a few days into the trip, Leah couldn’t help but say, “You are making this the best week of my life… What gives?” They hiked, saw a Broadway musical, and even made a pit stop back in Philly so Leah could facilitate the final performance of a class she was teaching — “Couldn’t they just move the vacation around?” Everything felt effortless, fun, and full of intention — just the way Jared wanted it to. They made their final stop of the week in Lewes, DE. Jared had made Leah feel so carefree, as he often does, that as they drove to their dinner reservations, she didn’t even notice they were heading in the wrong direction. She didn’t question it when they pulled into a sunflower farm. She thought it was cute that someone else was having a photoshoot there — not realizing she was the reason for it. Moments later, Jared was down on one knee in the very kind of sunflower field they never got to stop at two years before — asking Leah to be his wife.

How They Met

Leah and Jared grew up only forty-five minutes apart in Maryland, but somehow, the universe decided to make them wait. For years, they lived parallel lives—same corner of the world, same love for theater, same general orbit—but their paths never quite crossed. It wasn’t until both of them independently moved to Philadelphia that fate finally gave them a nudge. Their first meeting could have been any number of moments. Maybe it was the night their group of friends went to trivia. Or perhaps it was when they saw that one musical at that one theater. It might even have been at that party, when Jared ended up holding the cute girl’s dog. Whatever the case, their paths crossed more than once. They did not think much of it at the time until they were cast opposite each other in Goosebumps the Musical: Phantom of the Auditorium at The Walnut Street Theatre. Between the rehearsals, the laughter, and the occasional spooky sound effect, they finally had the chance to really get to know each other. Jared made the first move—he offered to drive all the way from his apartment in Chinatown to 11th and Tree Street just to give Leah a ride to rehearsal at 8th and Walnut. And if you know anything about Philly, Leah probably should’ve known right then and there that he had a crush on her. She declined the ride but accepted the offer to get coffee after one of the shows. They will have been together for 7 years on their wedding day.

Nick Hoult is thrilled to be a part of this bridal party. Recent fun times with the groom include: our annual holiday coffee date/ catchup and gift exchange. Favorite memory with the groom is getting to grow up across the street from him. Nick first me the couple when the groom brought his future bride to his childhood home for the first time. When not with the bride or groom Nick can be found in San Francisco where he currently lives.  Nick would like to thanks the bride and Groom for allowing him to be apart of their day. Even though this contract does not include travel and lodging he still loves them so much.

Tess Sinatra (Maid of Honor) is so excited to be making her bridal party debut as Leah’s Maid of Honor. You may have seen Tess onstage with both Leah and Jared, catching up over coffee with the Bride after work, or being grossed out over whatever beer the Groom is making her try. Tess and Leah are a famously funny duo known for playing sisters in Into the Woods, while Jared and Tess have shared the stage in many shows.  Tess first met Jared when she was his assistant at a bowling alley Darth Vader party (he doesn’t remember this). They then became friends performing together at The Candlelight Theatre. Tess and Leah met through Jared and have since become close friends, performing together in Into the Woods and working closely together in education at the Media Theatre. When not with the bride or groom, Tess can be found baking or playing with her dog Mitzi! Much love to Jared and Leah!

JJ is over the moon to be a part of his first bridal party where he is not the best man. Despite considering himself Jared's best friend, JJ actually met Leah first. Performing together in the single greatest production of "Eleanor: An American Love Story". When he did eventually meet Jared, they quickly bonded over who was the bigger nerd. This relationship  developed over the course of 4 back-to-back shows and eventually blossomed into 300+ roller coasters ridden together and countless hours of board games and tiki drinks. JJ has had the pleasure of watching Jared and Leah grow as a couple and is so excited to see their love blossom even more. Here's to their happiness (and hundreds of more coasters with Jared).

Madeleine is thrilled to be a part of her first bridal party. Recent fun times with the bride include bonding while eating Thai takeout at home and getting cheesesteaks on weeknights. Favorite memories with the bride include getting to be with her for her wedding dress shopping and seeing her look absurdly stunning in every single one she tried on. Madeleine first met the bride during babyhood as third cousins born one month apart. When not with the bride, Madeline can be found cuddling with her dog, teaching sex ed, and dining out or adventuring with friends. Madeleine would like to thank the universe for bringing Leah her forever person and any single guests with potential.

Jessica is overjoyed to be a groom's person. Some of her favorite show memories include keeping Jared onstage accidentally during the matinee after Mamma Mia's opening night (IYKYK), having him sniff my hair during "I Love you, You're Perfect, Now Change", taking an "Old Fashioned Walk" together during Holiday Inn, and Jared "teaching" me how to decorate a Christmas tree during "Christmas by Candlelight". As friends beyond the stage, Leah taught my daughter Charlie, all about her Actor's toolbox, I helped Jared prepare for their engagement by taking Leah to get her nails done as a "gift for being a great teacher to Charlie", going out for margaritas and making a job offer to cheer Jared up while Leah was in NYC, jumping on a trampoline while learning lines. going to speakeasy's in NYC together and traveling to San Diego for a "work conference". I adore Jared and Leah and I am so elated to be their friend and watch them build a life together.

Ben Schuldenfrei is thrilled to be part of the bridal party. Ben first met Leah at Quince Orchard High School, and had a blast performing on stage with her during the school musicals. A recent fun time with the bride and groom includes exploring the streets of Cincinnati. When not with the bride or groom, Ben can be found serenading his cats Loki and Luna, Ben would like to thank Shannon Hall for her unyielding support in his endeavors.  He wishes much love to our two leads Leah and Jared.

Kaitlyn Calhoun (Groomsperson) is honored to be a part of her cousin's bridal party. Kaitlyn first met the Groom at 4-5 months old (or sooner, her memory at that age is iffy). Kaitlyn has spent time with the Bride at various shows and became enamored with her dog Nessa while together at the beach house. Recent fun times with the Groom include Cousins Day, which always includes food & games! Favorite memory with the Groom is sleepovers at their grandparents' farm. When not with the  lovely couple, Kaitlyn can be found teaching Spanish to high-schoolers, traveling the world, singing at church, or having fun with friends & family. Much love to you both, welcome to the family Leah!!

Graham Pearson is honored and elated to be a part of the bridal party. Graham and Leah spent most of high school making each other laugh while either performing on stage during a musical or play, or just sitting in class goofing off. Graham has had so much fun seeing Leah and Jared at their friend’s weddings the past few years and can’t wait to see this beautiful couple get their chance to share their love with us. Graham would like to thank the bride and groom. Graham would also like to thank his high school pals Ben, Steven, and Madeline and of course his charming girlfriend Kirsten whom you can often find with Graham at any NYC park or movie theater

Carlton Plasket is ecstatic to be a part of his second bridal party. recent fun times with the groom include our annual neighborly Risk tournament over Christmas/New Years. Favorite memory with the Bride and Groom was going to Disney and Universal Studios for the groom's birthday weekend. When not with the Bride or Groom Carlton can be found diving against bugs, bots, and squids in his favorite game Helldivers 2. Carlton would like to thank the Groom, Jared and the Best Man, Nick for being the best/most annoying Risk Players in existence

Tessa is delighted to be making her fourth bridal party appearance! Recent fun times with the bride include playing code names, battling each other in egg wars and decorating Christmas cookies. One of her favorite memories with the bride and groom includes our family trip to Disney World (minus the part where we all got Covid). Tessa first met the bride when Jared brought her home for the holidays in 2019. When not with the bride or groom Tessa can be found hiking, cuddling with her dog Evee or singing Fleetwood Mac songs. Tessa would like to thank her mom and dad for giving her such an awesome big brother as well as Jared for finding the best sister in law a girl could ask for.

If you book at the Hilton or Best Western you can take a short walk to one of the other hotels in order to access our transportation to the wedding venue.

Take a hike! Or a bike ride, or a light jog. Whatever you do try out the 6.5 mile Cross Island Trail to see the beauty of Kent Island. The trail ends at the Terrapin Nature Park, a great place for a picnic.

If you would prefer a shorter walk Ferry Point park located next to the Chesapeake Heritage and Visitors Center has views that can't be beat.

Kent Island is just over the Bay Bridge to Annapolis, a great place to explore. However please leave plenty of travel time to your plans as Bay Bridge traffic can be unpredictable.

For just $20 a day attend the Annapolis sailboat show occurring all weekend. Please leave yourself plenty of time while traveling to get over the bay bridge.
